On 30 June 2015, Zedd posted an instrumental demo of an unreleased song of his onto iTunes, along with a message asking fans to help him find a vocalist for it[1]. Two days later, on 2 July, he tweeted possible cover art for the demo, along with a link to the demo shared via Box, a cloud storage company[2].
A completed version of the song featuring an artist named Flo Cole, entitled "I Wish I Was", was released via iTunes on August 12, 2015. However, Zedd revealed that it was fake and that he had nothing to do with it[3].
